Day 2.... So still blown away. With the new sound, I had to listen to some good old crunchy guitar... Started with some A-Chains, Mad Season... the drums in Artificial Red are just ridiculous, in the studio... Audioslave. Then Sound Garden. A whole new band. I just can not get over the low end... not volume of bass, the grip, control, texture, every vibration. It still doesn't make sense. Finished with some Pearl Jam... which is fitting. Yellow Ledbetter probably didn't help... It's like everything I listen to before was played by Yngwie Malmsteen... skilled, technically proficient, accurate.... but now everything is played by Hendrix. Just not even the same.

Just to clarify, you have the standard Z40? Not its '+' version?

It was standard. I needed sub-out so LTA had it for that. Not from parts but labor got me half way there so I just said do the whole thing. It's a plus now.

Impressed by the Yngwie reference! One of my favorites ever.

LTA MZ3 with RFT ECC81s (foil getters) and Zalytron ‘brown base’ 5692s is formidably natural in tone and dynamics!

One thing with Decware is the long waitlist to get the product from what I’ve read. But they have a good reputation for quality same as LTA

Sorry for these questions if they're a bit much. Recently we've been getting a lot of feedback regarding our own power supplies and it seems that more and more people take such products into consideration these days, which is good!

The LTA MZ3 came with the LPS. I do not think that the MZ3 with an IEC socket vs an ‘umbilical cord’ socket exists .
