OK, that makes sense. For a second there I thought your MZ3 arrived with a stock PSU and then it got its linear upgrade, hence the original question. All good though, thanks!
Have LTA scrapped their distributors, meaning you can only buy direct from them? Their EU distributors seem to no longer exist (which is a good thing as they were awful) and I don't see a replacement.

The Raytheon 6SN7WGT were $150/pr. The RFT ECC81 were $35/pr: a veritable bargain of which I took full advantage. The ‘foil getters’ are the preferable version.

• ABSOLUTELY upgrade the fuse in the linear power supply besides that in the amplifier itself !! The LPS fuse may in fact have a greater sonic effect than the amplifier fuse.
• I will forgo checking off the audiophile ‘sonic list’. With the LPS (and amplifier) fuse upgrade, transitions from pianissimo to fortissimo and vice versa (in classical, jazz, R&B, rock) transport me with their energy and scale!
• Fuse: Synergistic Research Purple. No opinion offered on other fuses.
Definitely audible. Not just with LTA MZ3 but with my other h/p/a. Interestingly, the most noticeable improvements, to me, were in those h/p/a with rectifier tubes: Woo WA2, WA6, WA6SE.
