My father use to be into high-end audio in the 90's... right before I was born. He had to sell most of his equipment to after I was born to pay for hospital bills (there were complications), a used car so both him and my mother could go to work, etc.

He use to have an MDR-R10 that he got over in Japan... A bummer that he wasn't able to keep it

Does anyone know if Jude is going to try and come out? That would be a real treat if he did....

Whelp, I'm fairly sure The Listening Room is closing... they're having an estate sale. If anyone wants some quality speakers for cheap, I'd suggest heading over there and checking out what they have to offer.

In other news, what is everyone bringing in terms of music? I'm going to have genres that range from j-pop to doom metal.

Just a possible update to gear list, I'm in the process of trying to sell my AD2000X, sorry to anyone who was looking forward to hearing it.  However, if I can sell it soon enough, I'll be using the proceeds to purchase an HD-800 and will be bringing that to the meet, again assuming my AD2000X sells soon.

I was looking forward to listening to the AD900x...

but I think that an HD-800 will be an acceptable replacement.

I'm bringing my collection that doesn't really have a focus. Game music, movie music, anime music, music music, random albums people suggested. Quite a lot of classical. I honestly listen to game soundtracks the most, if not classical. Decent variety, grabbed a Rolling Stones Magazine 500 greatest songs ever collection in Flac. Sorry if rambling, want to burn down the Kellogg if not for the meet.

I'm cool with having a meeting in some burnt ruins.

I'll bring the generator!

If I drag my brother along, he will bring his 500GB hard drive filled with all his music (50,000-ish songs), in that case there will probably be every genre covered from witch house to trip pop to holiday.
