Can't recommend the omega stand for planar headphones.
A german distributor for audeze (cma in Gräfelfing near Munich) told me on a privat audition, that most of the driver failures in the past comes from using a closed stand.
Hanging the planars on the stand while they're playing music will force the membran to touch the magnets bc of the air pressure introduced by the sealing of the stand.
For planars i'd prefer stands like the Zmf or the Room's by audioline.

Btw.
The stand from staffz93 is a cheap Avantree stand from Amazon, i do own too. :)
Yeah I read that Audeze are especially vulnerable to that.
Actually good advice. I honestly didn't Think about that before

Sounds pretty weird.
1. Why would you play music when HP on stand. ( :o2smile: )
2. What is the difference between Omega stand and your head in this respect.

1. I don't know. ^^
That's what caused a lot of the driver failures, they told me.
2. I just can imagine that the stand force a stronger seal on the pads than your head which is resulting in a higher air pressure on the membran.

I didn't researched further on this behavior.

1. No Idea, maybe some do that when they explicitly burn in their phones.
2. No difference however audeze is also prone to these failures when putting them on your head

So initial impressions is that these will take some getting used to. They're not like when I threw on the hd600 and said wow these sound great! Songs take on a different flavor with these, and some SSS seem over pronounced on Depeche Mode tracks. The bass is incredible but I will have to get used to the rest of the spectrum.

They certainly are the reverse of the hd800.

I mean I like them, but the signature is a lot different than the LCD 4s, so I just have to adjust my ears to not expect such a high level of detail. More like what ichos said, just let the music wash over you.
