I now got a pair of Rai Pentas incoming, with custom earTips and my Norne Silvergarde S4.

Let's see if they convince me as much as the Empyrean

I look forward to your impressions. The Rai Pentas didn't impress me too much in all fairness. A nice and smooth sounding IEM but the resolution wasn't quite there for the price. I guess, some people say the same about the Empyrean, but to me the Rai Penta is just not the Empyrean of IEMs. Far from that in fact.
That said, I am also not blown away by the 99 Classics or the Neo. The Empyrean however is a different story. Perhaps also overpriced by £500, but they are truly something special. The Rai Penta or the 99 Classics are nice, warm and musical but they just don't stand out from the competition as much as the Empyrean does.

That is a two year old rumour. Meze hasn't confirmed anything for quite a while.

for the M1570 and it claims it works just with the M1570/Meze Empy and they have a different listing for Audeze LCD-1,2,3 etc headphone is this correct?

Audeze, Meze, ZMF, Kennerton all use the same mini XLR plug. You are safe.

The Audeze LCDs and Empyrean all use mini XLR connectors with same pin out
So you can use any LCD cable with the Empyrean.

Not sure about the M1570, but honestly I'd be surprised if it were different.

Do you Plan to jump to flagship headphones now?

To be honest IEMs don't really excite me, but I tried a few good ones like the Rai Penta or UM Mason V3.

The Rai Penta definitely sounds smooth and comfortable, and the IEM itself is very comfortable as well. I presume they will sound less refined and detailed than your SE846 but perhaps carry a more likeable musical character.

Yeah I expect nowhere near the performance of my over ear rig.

It's more for the gym or the (currently rare) occassions in the office.
So it's supppsed to offer pleasant "background music"

I know that, but I was in contact with Meze yesterday.
And they confirmed to me, that new Para will come in the course of the year.
