well, as long as its 1.) within warranty and 2.) bought from them or an "authorized dealer" anyway.
They've been to Romania and back (again) and now working fine.. No charge even though they were just out of warantee period. Thanks Meze. One comment was that they shouldn't be left in direct sunlight, That might have been a problem at certain times of the day where they were previously located. Now in a place the sun cannot reach. Never been a problem with other headphones. Maybe planar magnetics are just more sensitive.

Sure, but you bought it from them. Glad to know they'll service them out of warranty for free tho. I'll be sure to hit them up when the time comes lol. Focal wouldn't do it....

As far as sunlight, oh yeah heat could easily cause issues with the thin diaphrams that are in most modern planars. Dynamics (due to their very nature) are more robust to heat. Enough heat will screw any electronics tho...

You should really just keep them in a closed case when not in use to protect from dust as well.

Sometimes drivers just die tho. It happens. It's happened to me with no idea why.
