I eq’d the empyrean and now have the elite. The resolution and clarity of the elite is far better imo than the eq’d empyrean. The soundstage is the biggest improvement — it’s far wider on the elite (I don’t think EQ would affect soundstage in any event).

That's the type of feedback I was needing... someone who had tried both. I'm very interested in improvements in soundstage and imaging and of course detail but provided the sub level bass is not sacrificed! Cheers

Don’t mean to make things more complicated but I personally found the Verites boring and uninspiring and the elites captivating. That said, I’d don’t listen to lots of jazz.

Meze's house sound does tend to be more romantic than it is analytical despite the elite performing very well in technical aspects.

Anyone here with the Elite & TT2 tried them with a Cayin C9. How do they sound with / without the C9 with? Does the C9 make a big difference or was your preference direct from the TT2? Cheers

I really liked the Empyreans. I don't think I'm going to give the Elite's a listen anytime soon as I don't want to be tempted to spend.

Oh nice! I can try it out at my local store.. I've been contemplating a pre amp to use with my solid state amps but perhaps a tube amp would be better?

Yeah it has about the same value as my car.
However I use it much more than my car, which helps justifying it to myself.
