Still love them after 6 months..
BTW. Searching for the cable. Can decide between Cardas Clear Beyond vs Siltech Duchess Crown. Any suggestions?

And I still love mine after 12 months. :)
I settled with a WyWires Platinum cable. Better than both Meze upgrade cables and doesn't break the bank.

This picture made me think Futuristic Film Noire!

Great pairing?

Curious because, since I fell into the tube hole (BHC/Speedball), this is the next amp I’m considering. Folks rave about it w/ ZMFs, but I have wondered about synergy w/ low(er) impedance planars. I presume the variable output impedance helps — do you drive your Elite on medium, as shown in your pic?

There are quite a few Elite owners in the HA-3A thread who love the pairing, including me. I mostly drive the Elite on medium for 5% extra definition, but sometimes on low. Low is plenty enough as well. It seems the input/output people prefer with this amp varies a lot depending on their system. I am absolutely happy with XLR in and XLR out but people with different DACs and different headphones might prefer SE in and SE out or even the 4.4mm out.
Stock tubes are nice too, but some NOS tubes really open up a new world of possibilities.

i'm rarely see silver HA-3A, definitely match the Elite's look!

Why you like Wywires over Meze SPC Upgrade? I also use pure occ copper wire for Elite.

WW Platinum to my ears have the same or even better clarity than the silver plated Meze, but retains the more pleasant tonality of the copper.
Also, the WW cable is much lighter which means it is a lot comfier.

To my ears the copper and silver Furukawa cable I bought with the Elite is great.
I don't know what other cables friends on the forum are using, but I think the Elite is such a great headphone that it sounds good with everything.

Elite sound great with my FA Hybrid Noir but have greater detail and sparkle with my Lavri Grand Silver.

I really liked the feel of the Meze SPC upgrade cable. It was very light but felt very premium. I sold it because the one I got with my used Elite was too short for my listening setup and had the wrong connector for my amp. I ended up using my ZMF 2K Copper cable for a while until I got my Wireworld Nano Platinum Eclipse cable that is made of silver. I detect a bit more clarity with the silver, but I’m pretty sure I wouldn’t be able to notice a difference if you blindfolded me. I even used the ZMF OFC cable for a while and was impressed with it as well.

Long story short, every upgraded cable I’ve used sounds good with the Elite. I never even bothered plugging in the stock cable after reading almost universal agreement that it held back the capabilities of the Elite.

I have Forza Claire, and it is perfect for my taste. I really cant hear a difference in sound between cables, but it is light-weight, soft, looks good and does not break the bank.

Actually tonight I plug ZMF Verite Silver cable to my Elite. It's a pure silver outside, with pure copper inside (copper from ZMF 2K Cable). It sound closer to neutral side, tighter mid bass, more transparent sound through all spectrum, more precise imaging than my Effect Audio Ares 2+ (Pure OCC Copper). However the Ares 2+ deliver more density and upfront in Vocal presentation that really suit my Playlist.

Hi, can anyone recommend a good portable case for the Meze elite? To replace the briefcase for travel. Something stylish and premium also preferred :) thank you!!
Hi.
There are many options but I use this with some additional padding. I leave them cabled up with the cups facing downward:
