Wow! I'm blown away by the quality of your products! I can't wait to get my hands on a set! Thank you for the Meze 109 Pro, as well! I have absolutely loved them!
Picked mine up yesterday as soon as it was available on the website! Looking forward to getting it.Stoked for this to finally release! I know myself, @Resolve and @GoldenSound were shocked when we found out what the price was for the Alba after first hearing it (myself at Axpona, Resolve and Golden at Munich High-End). Having the included USB-C is a nice touch!
Picked up 2 yesterday, 1 for me and 1 for my mom!Hi, everyone!
This is the one many of you have been waiting for. It is especially exciting for us as well, since it was teased this year at CanJam Singapore and Munich High-End, and we appreciate the feedback you guys gave us. Meant as a complete audiophile package from the get-go and as an introduction to audiophilia in general (a FIRST LIGHT, if you will), this is the Meze Audio ALBA!
SOUND THAT SPARKS EMOTION
Experience the unmistakable Meze sound. Possessing a neutral sound profile with an added touch of warmth, ALBA can vividly emphasize both the rain and the thunder in your favorite songs. Reach for the light, close your eyes, and press play.
RADIANT COMPATIBILITY
Take the light with you anywhere you go. The Meze Audio custom-designed 3.5mm to USB-C adapter has a built-in DAC/AMP to ensure an immersive audio experience.
BUILT FOR COMFORT
By preserving the Meze Audio design language, high levels of comfort, ergonomics, and noise isolation are assured. The combination of zinc alloy and anodized aluminium parts ensures a resilient build.

Cos it’s better. Why two pin termination? Whyyyyy?
.$159?? What is this, 2013???
It is manufactured in China, I asked at Alexandra and Alexander during AXPONA, the Alba also says it is made in China on the IEM where the two pin connector socket is, but that doesn't change that it is easily the most exciting budget IEM I have tried in quite some time. I will certainly be picking one up myself. When I tried it, they had me guess the price and I guessed that it was going to be between $1000-1300. So I am quite impressed to say the least, not to mention the effectively free USB-C dongle that it comes with..
I really like what meze are doing, cheaper iems without being chifi.
It's kind of hard to compare IEMs to over ears, but much more neutral than the 99 classics for sure. I'm not sure what IEMs you're familiar with otherwise I would make some comparisons. Now, when they say "warmth" do they mean "a nuclear weapon has been detonated nearby" kind of warmth like with Meze 99s? I ask because I can't stand Meze 99s. I bought a pair months ago. I could only listen for 2 or 3 minutes before tearing them off my head in abject horror. Returned them immediately. I don't mind well-done tasteful warmth ie HD650 but too much of anything is no good.
