Meze Audio 109 Pro

I think I've seen mention of LQI cables before on here but I had no idea they were in Arlington Heights! I'm from DeKalb, IL so I'm always happy to support nearby companies like ZMF. How soft and flexible are the LQI cables? If you've ever had any Meze upgrade cables or Forza AudioWorks cables I'd be interested to hear any comparisons whether they be about differences in sound or build quality!
To my senses, very flexible. They're easy to clean and their Meze 109 Pro connectors fit beautifully. I have a 4.4mm balanced cable. The man you're ordering from is Jason, and he's wonderfully responsive.

I use them for all my headphones. I ended up liking them more than the Meze upgrade copper cable. I sold the Meze cable. Here is the LQI Cables balanced 4.4mm cable for my Shure SRH1540 headphones. I noticed a dirty Sony NW-WM1Z screen, so I cleaned it. 20231123_104436.jpg20231123_104428.jpg20231123_110148.jpg

Looks like red shoe laces, but probably very good :D
I have a bunch of Hart cables. The first ones were red and so I keep it going.

Do they just offer the 3 options - silver plated, copper, and pure silver? What about them do you prefer to the Meze cables? I've always used Meze and Arctic Cables.

Yes on the options. LQI seems more flexible and the braiding is nice. The sound is on a par. The cable seems more durable for everyday use. I also decided that the Meze cable was a bit fancy for my tastes. I like the color choices also.

I now use a handmade balanced cable crafted by a talented Polish guy, and I am extremely satisfied with the outcome. It is made of pure copper and is visually nearly indistinguishable from the Meze cable priced at 260 euros but a lot more cheap (in my case, 50 eur, thanks to a Black Friday offer). I believe that pure copper goes very well with 109

So what was your final verdict on these. Keepers, or not so much?
Are you referring to the headphones? If so, I like them fine. Very pretty and very comfortable.

Although, TBH, I just offered a guy my 109's, my Radiance's and cash for his used Empy's. He declined.

Yeah the headphones. A while back, you didn't seem overly impressed.

To me, they're good, not great. I like them, but don't love them.
I currently have about ten sets of headphones. I have a top three and everything else is 2nd tier.

I say that while wearing the 109's, which I have no real complaints about. But if an interesting trade came up...
And that would include pretty much every headphone in my "second tier".
