500+ Head-Fier
Tested with WM1ZM2, single ended stock cable. Some quick impressions:
Bass is very addicting, very good slam and extension but quite controlled, doesn't leak into the mids. The uppermids/treble is slightly more forward than the mids. It is relatively thin and light (although not piercing at all) and feels a bit disjointed for me, especially since the bass is comparatively very full-bodied. Sound is smooth across all frequency ranges.
Soundstage is quite wide in width but not so much in depth. Resolution is good, can get cluttered at times with inaccurate imaging, but more than capable this price point.
Scales extremely well with the C9. With it the said thinness is gone and the full FR is full-bodied.
It is slightly to the warm and musical side. I'd say it is a great buy at this price point, but you'll have to listen for yourself whether you like the lighter uppermids.
