Shell looks very chi-fi, kind of disappointed. I really dig the Solo's look, Penta also looks nice too.

I thought these would be like $300-400. 699.99 is exactly IE600 territory in both pricing and driver configuration.

Meze ain't great when it comes to tuning, doubt it competes with Senny's new baby.

The Advar could probably compete with the IE600. Just read an impression from the recent Singapore Canjam and it seems like at least one IE600/IE900 owner was impressed with the Advar.

If this is your opinion on Meze tuning, then yes, you're probably better off with something else.
