Black & Silver, please

Tell Meze you think so, and maybe they'll listen!  You should PM them on here.

Because I agree, black and silver would kick ass :)

Hi guys, We are definitely listening. We have already been discussing a black and silver version. But we are still waiting for more feedback from customers and users. Anyway, if it is to happen, a black/silver version would come somewhere in Spring/Summer.

The 99Classics Silver version (maple/silver/white) will be available in late January, maybe February only.

Best,
Antonio M.

Thanks guys, it's really nice to see yet another company getting into the Head-Fi forums in order to receive feedback from their consumers!

It seems so many companies are doing this now. . .Fiio, Mr. Speakers, Schiit, the list goes on, and now you guys!

In terms of the color scheme, I personally am totally down with getting a pair of the black-and-gold version currently being sold, if I find that I like their sound.  I really like their look and personally don't find it too gaudy, but that's just me I guess, haha.  But I do agree with other folks here that a black/silver would be better-looking than white/silver. . .let's keep in mind though that it can also depend on a person's own hair-color.  I have jet-black hair, so stuff with dark colors tends to suit me well, but those with light blonde hair may appreciate something with white more!

What I'm really hoping for is that these will tick all the boxes, sound-wise and comfort-wise, I've been hoping for in my endgame portable.  In terms of price and appearance, they definitely do. . .I was never really looking to go anywhere above 400 dollars or so, if I could, for a portable headphone.  And these things look gorgeous.  If I get accepted for the review tour and find that these sound (IMO) as good as they look and as good as guys like @BloodyPenguin are saying they are, then I will DEFINITELY buy a pair without any hesitation as soon as I can afford it :)

So, out of curiosity, are you guys planning to make any upcoming additions to your line of IEM's?  Perhaps some multi-driver stuff? That'd be neat!

Hi,
We are in fact working on a few projects in parallel. We are developing a dual dynamic driver earphones and a hybrid (dynamic + BA) earphone. But it might take some good months for this to be released. We will not announce any dates as development time strictly depends on us reaching our goals, and not on some marketing set date.
Thanks,

When will they start to ship to those of us who have ordered them?

Hi,
Headphones start shipping on Monday. However, due to high volume of pre-orders - we can not process all shipments in one day.
And speaking of that: I really want to express my gratitude for those who chose our headphones. We where totally overwhelmed by the number of pre orders. Our first batch of production has been largely pre-sold.
:)
Take care,
Antonio M.

You know I respect that you won't commit yourself to announcing dates because you're not sure you could meet them or not.  Makes you seem much more reputable than other companies *cough* LH Labs *cough*

Anyway, I'm definitely a fan of my current dual-dynamic IEM's, the Puro Sound Labs IEM500, so I'm very interested to see what you guys end up developing in that regard!  If you guys could make something with sound a lot like the Puro IEM's (you should totally check them out sometime for reference by the way, as multi-dynamic IEM's are quite rare compared to hybrids and the Puros are a great example of how to implement the crossover-tech well for dynamic microdrivers, and also provide a GREAT example of how to still get amazing isolation despite having vented drivers) but with your guys' signature kind of look (wood housings and all) and build-quality, that would be amazing and something I'd be very interested in!  If they also turn out to ISOLATE as well as the Puros, well, you'd have me hook, line, and sinker!

Congrats guys, it sounds like this product release went even better than anticipated!

Had an opportunity to play around briefly with the 99 Classics and compare them with a pair of the similarly priced Sennheiser Momentum. I thought the 99s sounded pretty impressive for the price. The sound stage won't make headlines obviously given the closed back design, but the mid-range was streets ahead of the Momentums and the bass wasn't overdone. Switching back to the Momentums after listening to the 99s, the Momentums sounded very lean to me by comparison. The 99s also had decent isolation without being uncomfortable to wear. As has already been mentioned they are light - light enough to be portable - although I'm not sure I could personally walk around and rock the wooden cups and gold trim. Don't get me wrong by the way, they do look beautiful, just that it's probably the kind of beauty I'd rather leave at home.

Would be interesting to do a head-to-head comparison of the 99 Classics with the slightly more expensive Oppo PM-3 planars.

Been kinda/sorta considering getting a better set of closed cans, and these look great.

Would also like to +1 the black/silver request.
