I'm enjoying them right now, they came as new from mate FortisFlyer75. Just having a wee session in the park while waiting for kids classes to finish. I must admit that every day they show off something new to me. Right now I'm just using HTC M9 and they go very very well without any amp. With that im really impressed.

As you are currently outdoors enjoying the wonderful Scottish weather how are they at reducing external noise? I used them indoors and while the house was quiet but I hadn't tried them on the move.

They're not super isolating, if there is no music playing I could hear a little fountain just behind the hedge and some noises of the people walking by me and talking and such - but as soon as the music started playing (not too loud at all) then all that jus disappeared and didn't matter at all. The pads imo are super fine soft - so maybe they ment to be more comfy than isolating. I would guess that. But anyhow - being outdoor in a lively Park I had no issues with bleeding external noise into my tunes :)

Hi Guys! I would like to thank You for letting me having Your cans. They been shipped onward today - and the review is in progres. I ment to do that last night but got stupidly drunk instead :p
Btw I think the photos aren't giving the full good impression - it is much more better to feel them in the hand - of on ears :)

Cheers!

Disaster
I am embarrassed to say I have chipped the lovely wooden cups on my tour Classic 99s!
I was walking with them in a velour bag and I dropped them on concrete.
As soon as I saw the damage I contacted Meze and naturally offered to pay in full. To their credit they would not let me do that.

I apologise profusely but the next fiers will get them not at their cosmetic best.
The sound is not affected in any way

Thanks for the update @Takeanidea it's all good.

As long as the cans can deliver the tunes, they're good to go!

They look somewhat Mad Max-ish if you look at them now.

Hopefully they'll replace the cup before they raffle them off at the end of the tour. One of the not often cited benefits of the Meze 99 Classics is that they are completely user serviceable. I'm not about to take a tour unit apart, so I didn't, but they are reputed to be easy to maintain and repair.

As can be seen on the meze website.
This is another reason i like meze as they show all the parts laid out on their site.
No hidden agendas here, just here it is guys, no flashy rocket science parts...just straight forward serviceable parts that all bolt together.
