I do agree, though, the Meze cable, when released, is clearly the simplest solution. But I like to build my own.
Yes, me too. I have ordered 16 feet of an 8-wire occ braid of ebay one week ago to build an 8 feet balanced extension. I just have to order those ridiculously expensive pieces of plastic ( in black so it's not too ugly), those suggested connectors and a y splitter and use the 8 feet left to make a proper cable for the Meze, Should be a piece of cake.
Just so you know, the braiding, at least a four-strand round braid, is not hard at all. Just a little time consuming. Not bad, though. I can build a cable in an evening, braid and all. And the soldering is a lot easier before it's braided. I do the audio plug first. Then braid, and work my way up to the ear cups.

@MezeTeam : i know you wrote that an original meze cable will be offered in april/may but thats really a loooooong time

@all: is there really no aftermarket balanced cable that fits my meze headphones and has a 2,5mm trrs plug for my ibasso dx200?

Much obliged!
Yes, we do recommend burn in time, at least 48 hours of pink noise. You don't have to do it in one run, listening to music also helps. But pink noise does the trick faster for the 99 Classics.
The 99 Neo should receive a similar treatment.
Sorry for being a noob but what do you mean by 'pink noise'? Im thinking white noise but in colour - not surehow that makes any sense, about anything...
