Yes, such cable is a real improvement for the 99c. Pads too , depending of your taste.Just received some litz 8 weave 99% silver cables for the 99 classics and WOW! To my ears I’m perceiving 30-40% better overall sound. The bass has tightened up and gained more control while the higher frequencies are more pronounced. I’m a noob with describing what I’m hearing and might not be explaining it as well as I could be but wow, beyond impressed.

I’m very shocked at the improvement, actually have been listening for 3hrs lol. I did pick up the “small” pads that are suppose to be the same if not very similar to the OG pads that use to come w the classics. But have not changed them yet I will need to do that tomorrow and see what I think.Yes, such cable is a real improvement for the 99c. Pads too , depending of your taste.

Did you use the 100euro silver balance cable from meze?I’m very shocked at the improvement, actually have been listening for 3hrs lol. 30-40% is a huge difference, so much only from cable?

A little too huge for just a cable IMHO, was this new cable balanced? If so you need to volume match the SE and Balanced outputs to get a more realistic impression.

I've been using both sliver-plated and copper balanced cables from Meze with my 99s and they are great additions. I prefer the copper as it just keeps that warmth alive.

I can't remember the cost, I thought they were the same but the silver does add more upper sparkle to the range.

It’s not true balanced ifi uses “s balanced tech” you can read up on it from their site, so I purchased trrs terminated to utilize the s balanced feature with my dac/amp. You can have it terminated however you want so I believe it will be balanced. You can pay more and get genuine meze cables orThis is balanced cable? Yeah to my ears that’s what I’m hearing the soundstage opened up to me as well. I’m not a pro or claim to be I have limited experience with gear. Someone else may say 10-20% this stuff is so subjective.A little too huge for just a cable IMHO, was this new cable balanced? Swapped the pads to the “smalls” seems to bring out the treble frequencies a litter more? Maybe cuts the bass frequencies a little as well to my ears. I think I prefer the larger pads but will rock these for a week or so then switch back.
These headphones have me seriously happy, from what I’ve read and gathered the higher up the ladder cost wise you go you loose that punch and slam that these give, I might be wrong could someone help clarify that? For my tastes I wouldn’t want any less bass than what the classics offer.

Have not tried them, am pretty satisfied with what I have. You’d have to pm someone who has brainwaves w the classics. And what about the brainwaz pads that mention earlier in this thread? I remember they said it was the best of all
There's also the Yaxi Pads. I've bought them. Tried them but don't like at all. It changes the Meze 99c signature too much. Gonna sell them.
