I think he's saying that a little more openness would help with what little bit of muddiness there may be. I don't find any muddiness or bleed myself. I'm also using the 1st generation pads.Not quite sure what you mean, is the meze muddy or open sounding?

Yes, these EQ settings are an absolute must imo. I thought they sounded really good prior, but after equalization, they sound fantastic.. On a whole nuva lebelI would say it is not muddy at all but however, may depend on the sources or the records. hi is there an easy way to tell whether the earpads are the original or the newer version?
I think the originals have smooth interior and the new ones are wrinkly.

Have you got those earpads yet?Will do. Will take a couple of days/weeks because aliexpress, but I'll update this thread when I get a feel of how they compare to the original pads!
