Yup, I can see how they would win. Well deserved indeed. Well crafted and great sounding. What more can you ask for.

CANJAM SOCAL 2016: BEST IN SHOW

https://parttimeaudiophile.com/2016/04/04/canjam-socal-2016-best-in-show/

What intrigues me the most are the new 77 Classics Deco!

The new guy joining the family is the Meze 77 Deco. Pricing is TBD but it may be safe to expect something in the $300 -$400 range. The initial design intent was to make the headphone a bit more portable this time around, the ear cups now swivel and allow the headphone to lie flat for easy transport. Materials may change from what you see above, as may the color scheme. Early specs on the driver will most likely end up as a 42mm paper and carbon fiber creation. "

What Meze!! *drool* Damn them look sweet!

@MezeTeam I am telling you guys now that I am pre-registering for any potential up-coming tour on these beauties!

PS Sorry guys for not posting my PSB vs Meze write-up, but I caught a nasty cold that turned into a wretched throat and inner ear infection. Haven't been able to listen to headphones for days. Not sure which is worse, the constant ringing and pressure in my left ear or not being able to listen to the 99 Classics before bed.

Hi MezeTeam

I recently listened to the 99 classics in store and was very impressed by the sound. The only downside is it: these are on ear headphones to me, not over ear (pads are really not huge).

I preorder the Silver Walnut but the seller wasn't be able to tell me a precise availability date...

Could you tell me more about this?

Thanks.

@MezeTeam

Love the black ones Antonio Meze get in hand...wil these be available one day? Or at least the black earcups (I just preordered the Silver Walnut version, sad!)

Hello @VintageFlanker

Yes, the black ones will be available one day. We will release an official statement when they will be ready to ship.

As for the Silver Walnut version, do not be sad! They will be ready to ship this month.

Thank you for your appreciation, and to all of you fellow head-fi-ers for that matter!

Best,

The Meze Team

Has anyone had a chance to compare these to the Nad Viso HP50 in terms of comfort and sound quality? The HP50s are my favourite headphones and I want to know whether it is worth upgrading to the 99s

Well, I can't speak from experience but the 99 Classics knocked both the HP 50 and Momentums off Tyll's 'Wall of Fame', however I would not trade my M4U 1 for the Meze's nor consider it an upgrade (soon guys my thoughts on the two will be posted). Very, very nice complimentary headphone though.

Hi Meze Team,

Do you plan to offer a balanced cable for the Meze 99?  I think the cables you offer now are great so this option could be a very good seller.

You must be thinking for a low-power balanced amp? Even in SE mode, my Liquid Carbon was way-overkill for the 99's.
