Well that's surprising about the cost. Are the shells plastic instead of metal this time? I can't really figure out any other reason why it would be sold for $100 instead of the P1's $199

Yes, ABS shells. From MeeAudio, "Tuned for a warmer and smoother sound, the P2 boasts a slight bass bias compared to the P1".

Comes with only the mic cable. You'll see the "high fidelity silver plated" listed below it for $49.99. So that is $50 less right there :)

Answering to myself. You can get 25$ discount for your order with the proper coupon code. So, P2s for just a ~75$ -- ordered one :L3000:.
More hint on their twitter.

Don't be coy. Spill it.

I really don't know if to buy it right now, or to wait for reviews.

Any opinions?

For an MSRP of $200, the P1 is very competitive and an easy recommendation to make for just about anyone. I suspect that the P2 will be a similar value, or at least I am certain that's what MEE is aiming for. At $100, I would also consider the Periodic Audio Mg.
