I just talked to my McIntosh dealer. Apparently McIntosh has not shipped any headphones out to the dealer base yet. Still waiting..

Yesterday morning I finally got the call from my McIntosh dealer letting me know they have the MHP1000 in. I wen over in the afternoon and listen to them. They were connected to the MHA100 which was fed by the 550 CD/SACD player.
I was amazed of the level of detail and body of the sound and feel as the soundstage for a close headphone. You can tell the heritage of Beyerdynamic in some of the components but the craftsmanship and quality of the components is much better. Also the sound dis not a typical Beyerdynamic sound. You can tell they were voiced to match the McIntosh current house sound.
I liked them so much and since I already have the MHA100 that I could not resist the temptation and I went back today to pick up a pair of the 3 they had in stock. I am not going to comment more about the sound right now because I am going to let them burn in for a little bit and then give them a good listen over the weekend.
The box is very nice and protected the headphones really good. They come with two cables. One is a 3 meter 1/4" plug and the other one is 1 meter with a mini plug for portable use. They also come with a velvet pouch and an aluminum headphones stand.
Here are some pictures.

Yes please keep us posted musicman.
I don't know if I have seen the final pricing of the cans, what did it land at? Curiously I found a Swedish retailer selling it at SEK 45,000, approximately USD 6,400 (!). I'm having the figure of 2,000 in my head.
May be you are looking at thé price of the MHA100 headphone Amp ? I also have 2000$ in my head !
look great!
if they fixed the T1 voicing and improved the material quality and build I might be interested. Comparisons with LCD-X/XC ? Are they closed? Is the leather same as the T5p pads? Do they have a velour option?
