Hi mates!!
 
This is my first post so, HI everyone!!!
I'm kind of a newbie at audiophile gear so I'm in need of some expert advice! Listen, I've bought a pair of Audiotechnica's ATH-A700 cans, and I feel like I need a nice AMP/DAC to drive them properly. I've watched at the Maverick Audio TubeMagic D1 and I think it would be a nice beginner's AMP/DAC for the price, but honestly, If I'll spend the money I would like to be considering if it will worth the $250, would I be able to see some improvement over my SupremeFX-XFi sound card.
 
The Maverick Audio TubeMagic D1  looks like a nice solution, would you consider buying it!?

I'm new here. I don't know much about audiophile equipment but I have done some searching around. They sound very good, I use them for gaming (FPS)  and music (Metal, Progressive, Post-Rock, Classical, etc).
The cord is 3m long,

No one have tried this combo ever!?, or at least based on previous experience, what kind of AMP/DAC would be nice to buy to feed the A700!? Would you recommend to buy a better AMP/DAC to have more room for better Headphones to come!? or this is good enough for, let's say, $300-$500 headphones!? 
 
Any advice is appreciated!

Did you try reading through the other D1 thread yet? I didn't really like the stock D1 headphone amp at all with my K701s, but then again they're known to be picky with amps.

Ignore the hissing issue, the gain that was causing that has been lowered in newer batches. Check my sig for more info.

Really nice improvement!! I like my new Maverick Audio TubeMagic D1 a LOT!, I think I'll get the A1 once is available!

I'll look arround to see what can I do to improve it! I ordered it with the ge5670 tube upgrade, I think I could replace the opamp, any advice? How much would I have to spend for a nice upgrade!!?? Considering I'll buy the A1 as soon as it becomes available!!
