One of my (former) co-workers was diagnosed with cancer about 6 or 7 months ago now. Apparently he's beaten it. I'm grateful, he's a great guy. I hope it doesn't come back. Also, one of my high school friend's Mother was diagnosed with breast cancer and she beat it as well. I've been lucky when it comes to cancer, but not so lucky when it comes to MS (multiple sclerosis). My Mom's Dad had it and it finally got the better of him. I regret not having the opportunity to meet him or do more than talk to him on the phone before he passed away.

Cancer is a cruel disease. I hope Rick will be just fine and will live a long and happy life with his family.
