Mainboard Coax Input, how?

Jitter passes thru in ALL connections. It is true that EMI/RFI will not travel on an optical link. But timing of electrical pulses affected by interferences/noises on the equipment will. And it is NOT jitter is the main culprit in USB, its the dirty power coming.

On the USB to SPDIF question. You have only USB ports and NO SPDIF on your M/B. And YOU WANT an SPDIF connection....That is why WE are advicing you to get one.
So what do you want? Buy another M/B? I am sure that the SPDIF converter on the M/B has no great difference than the cheap ones out there.

On the Idea of pure Digital Output. USB, SPDIF are ALL digital outputs. You are warry about connections. If these connections makes your signal better? So what? Unless you have a very good source. And I tell you a conventional PC is NOT. Better invest on a good generic Android TV box w/ UAPP on it (about $100). Or some RPI transport.

There are lots of materials on the net regarding on USB vs SPDIF. Check them out.
So my advice is (as like the others). Just get a nice SPDIF converter or a DDC. For the time being hook your DAC to the USB port.
If you want a good SPDIF or DDC, the Singxer brand are good. Am using the F-1 and SU-6.

Even on megabucks equipment this issue is still debated so chill
