I found two additional cables that work to plug directly into the Mad Dogs:

Mediabridge -- http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B004LU1U2M/ref=oh_details_o00_s00_i01
 
I'm partial to the Cardas cable, but both fit in the existing slot on the left ear cup.  I will eventually have these recabled to dual entry, but for now this is a nice improvement on the stock cable.

I have actually observed that, yes. And since they are celebrities, they must know much more about good sound than the nobodies who post here on Head-Fi (because celebrities know a lot about everything, and fortunately share their knowledge with us frequently). It all stands to reason.

Beats also allow you to listen to your iPod without any external amp and without worrying the audio file quality. Dr Dre is trying to save us money while people over here hopelessly waste money on other audio gears that don't make them look as cool. And the fact that we go so off topic and are praising beats in a mad dog thread just shows how amazing beats are. :rolleyes:

None of those are right angle or at least 45 deg. like the V-Moda.  Kind of awkward to have it stick straight out the cup.

the angled cable from beats headphones fits these as well. I tried it with the cable of the beats pro and the angled cable of the beats tour (figure out how to make a connector from the beats tour) and it fits perfectly. the problem is how to remove the beats logo lelz
