What did you use to block the vent hole?
I used super glue just because that's what I had available at the time. Blu tack is probably a better option if you're able to get it easily.

Loving these headphones! Have a longer cable on the way & need to try out the Final Audio Type E tips.

I think I missed this. What vent is being blocked in the A7 and why?

I sent mine back for warranty and they still have not returned. Been spending all my time with the H40 which I'm digging too. Between these two, I've been less interested in IEMs except maybe the Sony N3....

I was referring to post #1301 about BGVP nozzle which has a tiny hole on it.

Is anyone aware of how good pairing of A7 is with Fiio M11?
Also, is there even competitors for A7 in $300+-50 price bracket? Because based on reviews A7 seems like a top for $300 in terms on tonality, techicality and soundstage.
Does anyone liked any IEMs for $300 more than A7?

Fiio FD5 is better in technicalities (soundstage included) and timbre. Tonality depends more on your library.

Sony XBA-N3 suits you more IF you are a basshead, as the technicalities are a step down but soundstage is still very close.

A little bit off topic, but just want to clarify since I have seen reviews saying that FD5 can be quite hot in the upper mids and treble and knowing you are a bit treble sensitive. Is it just a matter of source and tips with the FD5? Thanks

Tips do make a big difference. I used the Final Audio Type E tips for my review and that works great, while a wide-bore (JVC Spiral dot or azla sedna) tips are too bright for me.
I am currently using the Elecom EHP-CAP20 and it even better than the Type E.

Source can make a difference as well, but not as much as with tips.

Wonder if LZ will release an A7 mini. Like they did with the A6.
