LZ A7 IEM's impressions and reviews thread

Are there still living owners of the LZ A7? %) I recently replaced the regular cable with a pure silver one and the nozzles on the spiral dot. A7 sounded even better and more natural! My best option for a bundle for a walk, especially goes well with Cayin RU 6, which softens the monitor sound of the A7. Who changed the LZ A7 for what?

Funny, I thought these were way out of favor. But in reading this thread, there are plenty of people who still really like these. Like many others, my key other pair are the S12. My primary source is a FIIO dongle with the elusive AKM chipset and THX amplification. A bigger unit but I think it sounds great.

For night listening with my older Cayin N5II its FLC 8D.

Speaking about the LZ A7.

Just took it out of a drawer and decided to graph the 10 various sound signatures (5 nozzles and 2 switches), just for kicks. Took me 30 min LOL.

Via IEC711 Coupler. 8 kHz area is a coupler artefact peak

Really amazing set, it is like getting 10 IEMs in 1. Can be tuned on-the-fly from a basshead's delight to something reference/neutralish, to a treblehead analytical monster.

I already did the work though.

Useful.

I cannot tolerate the spikes in the treble area, especially the upper part.

After removing the ones that I believe too much, I ended up with this three:

Interesting fact that I always liked monitor mode and the first ones I removed were all pop mode...

Indeed, the POP switch depresses the mids and makes the sound more V shaped than the MONITOR switch.

Most of my ear time on the LZ A7 is with the Monitor Black too!

can someone make lz a7 vs final audio a5000 compare review .i confused ti buy i want to know which one is superior on natural sound and more technical.
User @Hooga is the person I know with the best Final Audio competence (and product collection, too). He sure tried A7 too. He likely thinks A5000 as more natural and technical, he felt A7 as a little too sharp and metallic in the highs.

I am bummed. My left side piece is going bad. I think it is the connection point. Anybody have any experience getting these fixed? They were purchased at Penon.
My MMCX connector got bad some time ago and I soldered the cable directly , they have nice construction and they are not hard to open , you may change the connector without too much effort as well

Is it an intermittent connection, with any cable?

Man, I hate to hear that Snuff:slight_frown: there are some talented guys out here who dabble, if it’s just a wiring issue you can probably get them repaired.
