I have a question:

What would you fellow W2-131 owners say is the "warmest" or "smoothest" setting/setting combination on the W2-131? I'm asking becaue I find it to be a pretty clinical, detailed and kind of "cold" / digital sounding device. When I pair it with the IE600 which in itself are detail and resolution monsters (some would say that they can be too bright and bordering in sibilant), I feel like I would like a more relaxed, mellow or smooth sound than what I'm getting with this combination. Long story short, is there a setting (filter and/or Tune 01/02) setting that sounds a bit more relaxed than others?

Right now, I'm using EQ: Normal, SDF: Normal (don't like the IE600 specific setting too much unfortunately), FLT: NOS and Tune 02.

Thank you!

Have you tried Tune 01, it is more relaxed than Tune 02.

Yes, I have. The difference was fairly subtle to me, though. Haven't tested it enough maybe. Is "NOS" considered "smoother" than say "fast" as a setting or does that not make much of an (audible) difference?

Got my W2-131 Updated to the latest FW 1.0.5.6 and still can't get it working with my SD8gen2 phone (Xperia 1 V)

Anyone got a new phone with that chipset working with the W2?

Og w2 works fine with s23 here, albeit I use exclusive mode in UAPP only.

I have OG W2. For the smoothest sound I use Tune: 1, filter: NOS and it is important to set UAC to 2.0.

That’s exactly my settings right now 👍

Have been looking through some Chinese forum posts, the Samsung ones are the only one that seems to work properly.

I have kinda got it working by connecting the DAC through a USB hub first, very bulky and annoying to use though

That's frustrating for sure. Kinda defeats the whole convenience factor of using a dongle.

You don't have to use a full-fledged USB hub. You can use something like ddHifi TC28C Pro. It works pretty well with my own W2-131 and my OnePlus 9 Pro, which also happens to have a lot of issues with dongles.

Anyone tried using a W2/W2-131 with the new usb-c iPhone 15 line? The screen on mine lights up but sound is still routed through my phone...
