It plays redbook quality ALAC files just fine. Any high-res ALAC I've tried it chokes on - will play but at the wrong speed.  

Is that 192/24? There is a bug with 192/24 for L3 at the moment, but the next firmware rolling out soon will fix it.

That's a pretty neat idea, I would purpose this to Mr.Wan

I was spoiled by that feature from DX90 and Cowon PD.

Btw, anyone notice a bug where, when you were playing music on the L3 and navigate to directory.
Now back to now playing the song title would just be blank with only the progress bar moving.

IIRC i saw a post saying that L3 does not need driver. But when I connect it to my PC It can't seems to detect it.

Pretty sure hecwants to use it as a PC DAC and his PC is running Windows 7.

Don't know, Paul. I'm a Mac guy, so pretty much every DAP is a plug n play DAC for me. This need for drivers with Windows seems a PITA :rolleyes:

Just got a Windows 10 laptop at work. Happy it is more user friendly than the previous versions of Windows I've used.

They use a generic driver for now - it's limited to 16/96 if I remember correctly.  Should work with all relatively recent Windows versions  I'll check later with a windows machine - I'm using Linux.

Just got a Windows 10 laptop at work. Happy it is more user friendly than the previous versions of Windows I've used.

I am running Win7 and when you plug it in in USB DAC mode, it will self-install a driver which will let is run (according to my control panel, limited to 16/48 max, if I recall correctly).
 
I suspect for higher bitrates and DSD, a separate driver will need to be developed as Win7 does not natively support USB Audio 2 standard.
