I downloaded LPFWPKG 2010 -10-16, and copied it to the micro sd card. I ran the update media library (the only reference I could find to updating). No apparent changes, and the system info shows version 1.0.0.2 Date: 20120327.

Help please and thanks in advance, Mike

I tested the 1.0.0.4 on my L3. and everything looks about the same.
Didn't notice a change in sound, an my L3 is not buggy at all, so its still very stable
One important thing, is that the "update media library" button is now on the bottom of the menu, instead on the top. So that got fixed.
At least found 1 who did not notice... good that you have a golden ears, can notice changes across every single firmware...

On our forum, everyone likes the v8 firmware the most. In the new firmware, the detail and transparency in the sound have disappeared. It is heard well in heavy, fast/tresh metal.
