Does anyone have one of these and would like to offer up an opinion/review. SG the Audiophiliac is gushing over this stating it's better than his Pass HPA-1.

I got the old p200, p1u and p700u, it’s generally getting better however if you are utopia or hd800 users you need to try it with the p1u, the most Luxman sound out of the 5 amps by Luxman and the long run best time seller of high end headphone amp in japan, the p1 series was there since a the beginning of 2000s and people still paying much the same price for second hand in japan nowadays which is crazy. The p1u was one of my favorites until now and some headfier I know does prefer the Luxman p1u then the rudistor rp030.

The p700u was a hit or miss item, although widely recognized in Japanese head fi community the more monitor sound and colder sound tuning of the p700u makes some people who like the warm Luxman style class a sound stay with their older models and the dramatic increase of price do not justify the performance increase compare to the p1u, however it’s a good amp, its Luxman first go on a jack of all trade and try to compite with other balance amp out there during that era.

The p750 is a modernized version of the p700 now with a more popular 4pin xlr option also with a better digital control makes its even better I personally tried it a few days ago and I feel like it’s moving back to the old sound signature again...but the price is the bit where I cannot justify for the sound of p750 that’s why I went to MASSKobo and purchased the 394II which is twice the price of p750 but offers me a total different signature as I own to much Luxman product lol

Thanks for the info Elton, there isn't much info around on the P-750u.
I used to have a P-1u long ago. I think I'll be getting a P-750u soon.
I also had a SQ-N100 back then.

I recently got the SQ-N100 and I find the sound through my 800S absolutely stunning. Feels like the 800S on steroids and with the heart of HD650. Very pleased :)

Yep, was very nice with the AKG K1000 as well but very muddy with sensitive cans like Denon, Fostex and AT.
Well, I ordered me a P-750u, should be nice with the HD800S, HD820 and my full range of HD5/6 series.

Been a long time since any activity in this thread... Could anyone who has or had the Luxman P-750u comment on how that went for you? I'm comparing the Luxman to a Sparkos Aries. Any input is welcome. :)
P750u is not not the newest amp from luxman they now have a p750u limited which is a limited edition of 100 or so with better digital control and parts to cerebrate their anniversary

Actually they just came out with P-750u Mark II, which from the description seems to be very similar to the P-750u Limited.
I used to own the original P-750u but returned it due to some clicking issue and now I own the limited version.

Very good sounding amp, so much better than the Cayin iHA-6 and SMSL SP200 (obviously!)

I also agree that the P-750u sounds like the old signature more, although I only had a brief time with the P-1u.

Have you compared it to any other higher end tube head amps ?

Borrowed from a friend to try out. It's quite interesting comparing the DA-06 to my Yggdrasil.
