Hey LPGT owners, so I have a strange glitch and I wonder if you encountered this before... I have a class 10 SanDisk Ultra 400GB and I never had issues with the card speed with my DSD128 albums but lately I sometimes have a message saying "SD speed unstable - Please use a faster card" which is puzzling really as I never had any issue before (I thought the card was fragmented but doesn't look like it).

Ideas?

Edit : Looks like someone already had the same issue only with a micro SD to SD adapter and I am not using and adapter it's a SD... I got my Sandisk from Amazon but didn't look like a fake one (hope not given the price) like @twister6 mentionned on the following post... maybe my card is failing? It worked flawlessly for several months

If you're in the habit of handling the sd card a lot, it may just be an issue of poor physical connection. Pop that thing out and give the contacts a wipe down with isopropyl alcohol.

Thanks, I will try this but I never take it off in fact, and it would probably manifest as read error no matter which bitrate is used rather than issue with highest bitrate files... bit puzzling to be honest.

Oh, my bad. I thought you were experiencing generalized read errors. But, it's just that high bitrate stuff giving you problems, despite working well before. That is very puzzling. Have you updated the firmware recently? I'm kind of at a loss as to what would cause a slowdown of the read speed besides that.

No problem, thanks for the attempt to help :)

No I haven't maybe that's the issue.
I might try to reformat the card and copy files all over again and see what happens if firmware doesn't fix it.

The limited quantity new Lotoo PAW gold touch was just announced. Just confirmed that it will be an overall upgrade from the existing LPGT, including the circuit design and power (besides the case being Titanium of course:dt880smile:).

The price will be higher than the current LPGT since it is a limited edition product (could be higher by quite a lot). Expected to ship by the end of this year; North America should get it by early next year I believe.

Sounds great! Any sound impressions and comparisons to the original LPGT?

Looks very nice but the price will be very high I guess. Around 3500 USD or more? Also what other improvements been made, more power output, less battery life, etc?

They will be doing their first road show this weekend in Guangzhou. I will make sure to share updates from my friends who can attend the event.

More details coming during this weekend’s event in Guangzhou. Regarding the price, all I know is that it should be below 4000. 3500 USD seems like a fair guess.

Love the titanium, but more excited about a potential upgrade to the already awesome specs and sound of the LPGT :D
