Looks more like a mobile amp or dongle to me, I see only volume up and down with 2 other buttons. maybe an S2? either way, interested in anything Lotoo has to offer :)
It’s been confirmed on one of their distributor’s pages that it’s an S2, so it’ll be a dongle, rather than a DAP. As you said, though, either way, any Lotoo launch is worth excitement.

Ah good, this will get a lot of traction then I hope. I just recent got the LPGT to not have a dongle lol, so this will likely be a pass for me.

I was hoping in a new android dap 😭
An insider said that Lotoo didn’t plan to release a new DAP until the end of next year. That was BEFORE the whole pandemic problem and BEFORE the whole AKM chip factory was destroyed by fire.
That’s why AK released a new DAP with the ESS chip. I guess Lotoo won’t take that path and wait until AKM releases a new chip before they design a new OS around it. It is also very unlikely they take the Android route. But you never know …

In fact, after trying the Saber dacs for many years, I must say that I was more satisfied with the AKM dacs. At least personally on some daps I've heard. So if Lotoo will insist on AKM I agree with this choice.

To the GT or something else?
I have discovered the awesomeness of the AKG K812 from a fully burned in Sony NW-WM1A single ended output, and demoed NW-WM1Z and was stunned. Zero K812 treble peak. As good as Shure SRH1540 from balanced if not better. Most of my headphones are pretty efficient. I find I'm really liking a more analog sound as well. I will eventually add LPGT successor. The Sony interface is awesome as well as battery life.

As long as you don't need a lot of power and have highly efficient headphones, cause WM1Z output spec is only 125mW @32ohm from 4.4mm BAL output, while single ended is only 30mW @32ohm.

I use Shure SRH1540 headphones with the NW-WM1A balanced output and AKG K812 headphones with single ended output. It seems to really work well.

I am a new member here and have been a watcher on this and other forums over the last few months.

I own a few DAPs: Sony WM1A, WM1Z and ZX300. I also have the Lotoo Paw Gold and recently acquired the Lotoo Paw Gold Touch Ti.

The LPGT Ti is my favorite of the bunch. More power than the Sonys and more refinement than the LPG.

One thing about the LPGT Ti that is causing concern is the battery life. It drains very quickly. Whenever I turn it on it is not uncommon for it to lose 1% - 2% while idling for 30 seconds. It also gets warm even when I am not playing music.

This happens even when XRC is off, Gain for both outputs set to Low, Bluetooth off, ATE/PMEQ set to off and screen set to low brightness.

I listen to a variety of formats on the player- FLAC, MP3 and M4A.
I am using easy to drive headphones mostly Focal Clear, Audeze LCD-X, Sennheiser Momentum.

Is it possible that I am out of touch given the GREAT battery life of the Sony players I use?

Love the sound of the LPGT Ti- it is on another level. But the battery life could be better.

Does anyone have any insight into this?
