Hello people,

I am back here after a long long time. Actually I recently bought new gear that allows me to have a balanced source now, and I want to be able to amplify it to use with my balanced Audeze LCD2.2 headphones. I have heard that these headphones sound best with a lot of power. Can you guys provide suggestions as to where I should be looking at if i want to make my own DIY Balanced amp for this pair of cans?

Regards

There's plenty of DIY Balanced amps but they're costly and most are complex to build. The most popular ones are the SuSy Dynahi (as mentioned), the SuSy Dynalo, the AMB B22 and the Bottlehead Mainline. I believe the Eddie Current Monolith can be configured for balanced as well, but don't quote me on that

Gilmore current feedback amp (CFP2). You'll probably also want a ubal-bal board to front end this (and do unbalanced to balanced conversion for single-ended sources). I'd use JFET input, but YMMV. Check the "Now for something completely different" thread.
