When I was a freshman at UPenn, there was a girl out there who was a senior in HS. She had created a website called www.admitmetopenn.com or something like that - I'm pretty sure she got in.

Do something crazy and you increase your chances.

While that's not bad ( i didnt do that much better), a 1700 isnt going to get you into penn even with early decision. You would need huuuuuuuge connections, i'm talking GWB connections. I'm not discouraging you, but E.D. is a very important tool to use in admissions. I would personally advise using it towards more of a safer reach if that makes any sense. You can always tear up wherever and transfer

Youd never get into UF out of state with a 1700 and his stats. UF is getting rediculously hard to get into OOS. I think it's #6 behind UVA, UNC-CH, UCB, UCLA, UMich.

Not to thread jack or anything, but I am also a HS student. I am currently a sophomore, next year I'll be a junior. I've been looking into colleges as well. Do colleges look at your weighted average or just your regular average? I have about a 90 average, weighted it'll be around 94-95. I got a 191 on the PSATs. I am in Honors Math and I'm taking AP Physics (I'm only slightly above average in other classes). Do you guys think I'll be fine when I'm applying for colleges? And if so, do you think I'll be able to apply for financial aid based on my academic grades?
