Hey guys, I bet you are already tired of us high schoolers asking about colleges. However, I need some help. I am not one of those A++ kids with perfect SAT scores. My overall avarage is about 89 and I will be taking my 1st SATs in June (I am a junior). I am expecting something around 600s or below. For the major, I am looking into Finance and Investment Banking. I know THE place to be is UPENN but thats out of my reach... This summer I will have an internship in one of a big firms in NYC. Not sure where yet, but I already had an interview with Bank of NY and they should get back to me this week. So I think this should help me out somewhat. I live NYC, but looking for something out of state, but not too far.

I am pretty lost on colleges, so please help me out.

best way to choose a college is to research it and then actually visit the place.

stern, ross, and tepper are some of the top business schools around.

I don't have any specific recommendations, but DEFINITELY visit all the schools you're interested in. You'll be surprised at how different schools can feel, and you should get a pretty solid sense of where you think you'll fit in the best by visiting. In the end that's really at least as important as what school has the "best" academic quality.

I know you're looking for something out of state but why not consider NYU and Columbia since you're in NYC? A friend of mine was offered an Asst Prof Position at Columbia business sch and will start this june. I could ask him some specific questions if you send me some.

Ypoknons on this forum is an undergrad in finance at NYU. You could also PM him. He was at the national meet too.

Also check out Chicago.

He's not considering NYU or Columbia because he wouldn't get in...and he's lazy.

Then there's northeastern, tufts and boston university. If you have $50,000 a year, you're automatically accept into BU. Man...BU girls are hot

Also consider Boston college then. I've a friend there doing business i think, undergrad. She can give you a tour if you come up.

IDEA: come up for the boston meet and then explore the boston schs.

Talk to me when you're doing better than I am...you are the one who defined why you couldn't go to some schools...I was just rephrasing.
