Hello all,
I had to dig (and dig deep) into my old email and finally located the three ring 3.5mm male to 3.5mm female cable with mic inline I had used in 2006! It was the LG SGEY0003602... [just take a look at some of the Amazon reviews... classic!]
I'm looking for a current version of this. I have a set of futuresonic spectrum G10, and essentially want to use a cable with an inline mic that I can use these corded headphones.
I have located an abundance of male-to-male, but no male-to-female.
Any input is appreciated.
Thanks,
Matt
[UPDATE]
I went ahead and bought one of these suckers off ebay ($10USD) along with a 2.5mm female to 3.5mm male adapter so I can plug it into my laptop and phone. Some of you folks out there probably know what my problem is now. Apparently the LG wire/adapter is probably OMTP while my laptop and phone are CTIA. Thanks: https://android.stackexchange.com/q...oesnt-work-on-some-androids-like-lg-g5/180087
Note that according to an old thread on the Verizon wireless forums (http://verizonforums.com/threads/connect-to-the-voyager-2-5-mm-headset-jack.293134/) LG's older phones didn't comform to the TRRS standards OMTP or CTIA/AHJ. According to the Android documentation (https://source.android.com/devices/accessories/headset/plug-headset-spec#electrical) where CHIA/AHJ is left-right-ground-mic, and OMTP is left-right-mic-ground (in tip, ring, ring, sleeve), the LG adapter is mic-left-right-ground.
So, I think I'll be stuck making my own adapter, or splice this sucker opened and correcting it. Unless I can find a functional adapter. I'll post back when I find one. In the mean time, I'll try to appeal to some amazon sellers to make the proper wire!
