My budget is about 400 euros (I live in France), and I listen a lot to stuff like Bon Iver and M83, classical music, some rap. I like a lot of genres really, so I want the best pair I can get with the best all around sound.
 
I have to be honest and say that I was close to buying the beats by Dr. Dre Pro, I tried them at a store and they sounded pretty awesome, maybe because i like bass, but after reading a bit here it seems I was almost fooled by the hype and marketing. I'm not an audiophile, but I love great sound. I've had a pair of sennheiser hd 555 for some years now but I will give those to my brother and thought I would buy a new pair, like I said, almost bought the Dre's but went with my better judgement and decided to look here first.
 
One thing, I see most people recommending an amp and all these extra stuff. I dont want that. I just want an awesome pair of headphones, under 400 euros, or 500 bucks, that will be great for music and gaming, etc.
