I'm currently using an Asus D2X soundcard and I'm planning to upgrade it to a DAC. I'm going to be using a Neco Mosfet Amp and figured that my source is probably due an upgrade.

The music stream II gets very nice press, although I haven't used it. If you are considering a sound card, the Asus cards provide a nice dac and would give you dolby headphone if that interest you. High end is the bitfrost by Schitt. Does that get you started.

Looking at spending £150/$240USD, plan on using the optical from the onboard chip on my motherboard. Just want to know what a decent upgrade to my Asus D2X would be in that price range.
