So I've been having a lot of problems with the hundred dollar MX Revolution from Logitech. The mouse wheel crapped out completely ...well, almost. The wheel doesn't spin easily anymore...like a tire caught in a tire-well. The battery life only last about a day now...it's gotten worser by the day. I've had the mouse for one month now. So..........I called logitech

Logitech listened to my problems and offered to send me a brand new revolution, but I declined- didn't want another bad product. He claimed that the wheel went bad in mine because I used "mouse 3" as a button...rather than this special feature that they intended it for, but in short he said that the mouse simply did NOT have a mouse 3. I'm a firefox user, I love tabs, so I MUST have a mouse 3 hah. So he said "Well I can give you another mouse in the same price-range"...so I went with a Logitech G7. Same price. He then told me to just scratch the number off of my old mouse and trash it when the new one arrives O_o? It's still good- just not 100 dollars worth, but he said he had no use for it.

In short I just wanted to rave about logitech's customer service. And warn others about the revolution from my experience.

I've been using the MX Revolution since it was released. I also use Firefox as my main browser. This mouse is the best mouse I've ever used.

I've kept the scroll wheel button set to "Shift Mode" and set one of the side buttons to function as the "Middle Button."

yup their customer service rocks. Actually they got the best RMA service of any company known to me. My story was similar to yours. Old mouse battery was starting go to bad, Logitech sends me brand new mouse - 100% brand new in retail box!!

I have since switched all my keyboard/mouse/webcam to Logitech. The only moues I have that's not a logitech is on my gaming machine; I need the Razor

I really don't mind paying logitech premium because of outstanding customer and RMA service.

Ever since I bought their blue glowing mousman optical so many years back, I've stuck with logitech as they've always had excellent products. Sorry to see that your MX didn't live up to their normal standards, but it's great to hear that their customer service is top notch.

Yeah, and it's already done for:
http://www.razerzone.com/index.php?m...products_id=72
http://www.razerzone.com/3G/laser.php

However, I'll believe the laser is as good as they say it is when I see it, up ill now, all laser mice really bite for tracking. We'll see if anything is different this time around.

I have no faith in Laser mice, nor do I need more than 800dpi (I use 400dpi anyhow)
