I dropped off the impressions on Thurs, Aug 23, and John mailed them USPS on Thurs Sept 6. Here is a partial 'unboxing' photoset.

IEMs, cable and cleaning tool bubble-wrapped. This seems to be the official Livewires storage case:

Sorry about the sloppy job. I was in a real hurry to try them on, but thought I'd take quick pictures so those considering these IEMS can see what they're getting.

nice..clear is the way to go..btw did you order the new impedance adapter that will remove the hiss?

The impedance adapter was not an option then. Hiss is prominent with hard drive-based iPods. I tried an attenuator (don't know specs - it's for UE SF3), the hiss was gone but the sound was veiled.

The price point and the quality of these things makes me drool. I am interested in the connectors on the earpiece

Ooh, very nice looking set ... makes the wait for mine (identical to yours but without the s/n label) even harder. The were posted on the 6th as well, but a few thousand more miles to travel

i do like the look of the livewires no one would think they are fairly cheep for customs, anyone who knows earphones will only be able to tell by the connectors that they arent the full $1,100 ultimate ears job.very impressive

Nice, every time I see these I think about going the IEM route again... is Todd the only vendor who sells them right now?
