So this weekend i was able to listen to some ath-m50s and i fell in love with the detail and clarity it provides.  This is coming from IEMs only (Westone 3, HF3, and MMDT).  But this has turned into a costly mistake as it has left me wanting more!  The detail of my W3s are great, but what really made me enjoy the m50s over the W3s how it sounded less condensed and not so "in your ear" sounding like my IEMs.  I'm guessing this is the sound stage i've been missing out on?

Well needless to say i'm now after a set of cans similar to the m50s.  but the reason i dont think i want the m50s is cause after about 5 minutes my ears started to sweat.  I listened for a total of about 20 minutes and by then it was getting fairly uncomfortable.  I was looking for something portable and closed.  Considering the HD25s, how would those compare to the m50s and W3s?  Would the HD25 sound closer the the m50 or W3 in terms of sound stage?

Hey,

Maybe have a look at the Sony PFR-V1 headphone.

Great soundstage, and NO Sweaty Earcups.
