This is a fun category that's arguably the most popular and technology has carried interesting developments in the sub 30$ category !

Here's how it'll go. It's quite simple really. I'm sure you millennials have a nostalgic earphone that's been through countless memories!
1 List your top 5 earphones under 30$
2 Mention their sound signature followed by soundstage seperated with a comma
here's my list:
  1. Philips she3590 - warm , mid-spacious
  2. Sennheiser cx80s - new launch, balanced , open soundstage
  3. Sony MDR-EX15AP - v-shaped , mid-direct
  4. Mi Dual Driver - balanced , quite spacious (sweet sounding)
  5. Panasonic TCM125 - Powerful, in your face ss
P.S. DEPENDING ON YOUR COUNTRY YOU COULD BE REDIRECTED TO THE LATEST VERSION OF THESE EARPHONES!
Cheers! :L3000:

Some of mine can be found for under $30 if not originally under $30...

Vsonic VS3 - Balance with a bit of brightness, big open stage.
Elecom RH2000 - Neutral airy and speaker like with a natural tone, roomy stage.
ADV 1M - Warm and smooth forgiving and pleasant, intimate room size stage.
Sony MH755 - Warm but balanced and natural sweet sound, average stage
JVC FX55 - Sounds like a headphone with realistic bass, close distance but roomy stage.

Honorable mentions go to the Senn CX250 and Uiisii CM5.

Though my list is not in any order. Know what the Vsonic sound like but I don't have mine just yet. I just scored a damaged box pair off Amazon for $16.25. 1M would be the worst sounding and I should swap out for the ADV S2000 I no longer have. JVC are a classic with the right tips enjoyable and more headphone sounding than so many earphones regardless of price. :)

I haven't listened to too much budget stuff, as I stopped bothering with it once I got the MH755.

1. Sony MH755 - A J-pop V-shape with elevated yet clean bass and intensely boosted upper mids/lower treble for vocal clarity in spades, although treble extension is non-existent. Not much soundstage to be found here, whether front/back or left/right

2. KZ ZS6 (sale price) - a less refined QDC-style V-shape with sucked-out lower mids, piercing treble, and plastic timbre. Foam or Ostry OS100 tips recommended to make it more listenable. However, has a soundstage as wide as a planet, even if it's not that deep

3. Seahf AWK-F32 - Generic Chi-Fi V-shape with a bit too much emphasis on the treble. Put on the included foams and you've got a still-generic but milder, pleasantly warm Chi-Fi V-shape. Slightly above-average soundstage width that reaches the ears but doesn't have much depth

4. VE Monk+ - Passable mid-centric signature that doesn't sound quite as bad as a telephone call, but has a nasty lower treble pit that robs vocals and brass instruments of definition. Unremarkable soundstage

5. QianYun Qian69 - A variant of the usual Chi-Fi V-shape where you can't hear the mids. Slightly above-average soundstage that reaches the ears and has decent depth

Dishonorable mention: Symphonized NRG - Mud.
