Nice! My Exemplar Denon 5910 will arrive tomorrow. I have the Exemplar 2900 and the redbook is almost as good as my Cary 306 SACD. I hope the 5910 will equal if not surpass my Cary 306 SACD. The price for the Exemplar 5910 is $8500, bough it for much less!

Congrats! A very nice player indeed. Heck, I like my bare bones Denon 5910. I've heard the Exempler modded players, and they're really smokin'.

The trailing numbers were RRP(s) in USD

Also the dac2 is the minerva with a pro gear faceplate (and a lower RRP)

I have a question .... what about dacs? Does a dac have to cost $2k or does the combination of the dac and transport have to cost $2k.

I actually have two Sacdmod 9100ESs and five Sacdmods 555ESs and these are hooked to some heavily modded dacs, for example, a custom Opus with a zap filter output stage. But, the Opus/ zap filter dac, Buffalo dacs etc .... were not near $2k on their own, even though, the dacs are better sounding than the 9100ES when hooked up to 9100ES as a transport.
