List 3 of your cans, but which will you never part with!

I can honestly say that my HF-1's won't be going anywhere...

Everything else could be replaced, but the combination of the HF-1's no longer being available and the DIY woody mod I put together last year makes them indespensable. There may be better headphones out there, but none will feel like they're "my" headphones like these do.

e4c; balanced, will never part as they are so revealing, nuances in music are easily picked out.
(waiting to arrive, had one before) sr60, coz they rock out hard.
(waiting to arrive, heard a e5c before) um2, the warmth will (hopefully) compliment the e4c's nicely.

I should hope not! That is one beautiful project you have done!

1. HE90
2. R10
3. K1000

There are a bunch more that I'll probably keep forever, but these 3 are the "core" of my headphone collection. They all sound amazing and have all been discontinued.

4. UE10-Pro also because they are custom fit so I don't have any choice but to keep them forever (although I probably would even if I could trade them in).

5. HF-1
6. Headphile modded CD3000 with R10-shaped Purple Heart ear cups.
7. Koss "Cheesy" phones

These I will probably keep forever purely for sentimental reasons. I don't listen to and of them very often. The HF-1's obviously sound much better than the Cheesy phones, but Koss always provides a great value for the $1 and the Cheesy phones are no exception. The modded CD3000's really sound fantastic! Much better than the unmodded CD3000's (or the likes of the W100, W1000, HD600, DT880 or HF-1, in my opinion).

1) AKG K1000
2) Headphiled Zebrawood HF-1
3) Grado RS-1

Of the above 3, the AKG k1000s are here to stay. Of corse, I can't say I will NEVER sell them. If it comes down to paying the rent, or keeping a pair of headphones, the headphones will go every time.

Since I have a pair of GS-1000s on order, who knows what I will end up doing with the HF-1s and RS-1s. It is going to be a three-way shoot out, and I am sure at least one will be going...

I imagine everything I own may go on the blocks sooner or later. Right now I think the only headphone that I wouldn't sell is the HF-1 since it's limited edition and has a value beyond SQ. I also can't really think of selling my Lambda Pros because they sound so good, but that may change in a year or so.

I've always thought that some day I might want a pair of custom molded IEMs. I probably wouldn't sell those for obvious reasons.

I own one pair of headphones(Beyerdynamic DT831), i am not in the position to buy something better and will not be for quite some time. After that i doubt i'd ever sell, because i like them and they were my first decent headphones. But who knows.

out of my current stash: K240's, K501, K701, HD650, HF1, ksc35, px100:

I'd keep HD650 + K501. Together they fill all my need.

The third would be a tough call between HF-1 (rarely used, but will probably keep it because it is HF1) and ksc-35 (used everyday, make me happy every night).

I've not yet bought a pair of headphones that I didn't like well enough for some purpose to want to keep.

So far I've got (in this order)

Ety. ER-4P (and P-->S converter)
Grado SR-225 (w/ modded 414 pads)
Senn HD25-1 (w/ velour pads)

Love them all.
