Light Harmonic Geek Wave

The problem as I see it some people are products of the MBA Marketing School Education and know bugger all about electronics. This is the whole problem with modern business that people who have no knowledge of the things want to manage things including universities and make money. As a retired academic I know exactly what they teach these folk and it certainly does not stand up to my concept of academic rigour. You cannot manage anything unless you have a very good grasp of all the complexities involved.

Given that the first Da Vinci products were good and got good reviews from reliable reviewers  originally I went with the Wave which came along just when I needed to get a new DAP and I hope that I still will get one even if it is next year now. The DAPS I have read about delivered in between  then and now have not been spectacular.

I see no point of subscribers to this forum trashing LH as that will only encourage them to fold and us to lose. People should at least be encouraging if they still wish for a satisfactory outcome to their investment and ignore the "other game" being played by ex employees. I think Larry should be admired for standing up to the those who jump ship as they were obviously only interested in one thing.

When the going gets tough, the the tough get going...They don't run squealing.

I appreciate much of what you are saying, however Larry hasn't been stand-up at all, his silence is deafening.

With Gavin out of the picture as early as just after CES2016, I actually expected things would improve.

But it's now just about October, and the Vi DAC campaign appears totally dead in the water, almost no units shipped and no status update in months. Previous updates all a crock of s**t. So actually far worse than just 80 remaining unshipped Pulses.

@Larry Ho - take a leadership stance in the face of adversity and give us all a reason to be optimistic.

Getting a kick-a** product that's "newer" to the market (e.g. the Source) that has few issues would do wonders. Likewise with the Wave. Coming out and giving a mea-culpa on the Pulse/Vi stuff Gavin talked about would help as well. Cheers

If I don't have any other alternatives on this hobby, I might be waning and complaining too. But its just not the case.

If I do, it will just add up in putting down the company and on my $1.8K "investment".

However, very good impressions/reviews of GO V2A/V2+ and Infinity gave me new hopes.

It was and still is, a learning experience.

Continuing of not thinking about it....If it will come, it will come.

Are we ever getting this expletive product? I'll never give LH another dollar nor will I ever support a company that Gavin is involved in. We were ll scammed.

You must not have seen the update from a few days ago. Looking more likely now but still waiting on actual of course.

The extreme slowness of all LH Labs projects is frustrating. The only solution is to wait and see, but I trust that all products will eventually be delivered. I have received my 1G and 2G USB cables as well as my Pulse Infinity which I find to be a very nice sounding DAC. I expect that to hold true for the Wave when it eventually arrives, and reports of the Geek Out V.2 tend to support that.

The major problem is with perception. The Pulse, Wave and Stream (GO V2+) were all completely redesigned from the original concepts as presented on indiegogo, and this has delayed the delivery. We cannot compare the perception of these development cycles with other product releases such as those from Sony or A&K as we only saw their product release, not the two to three years that those products were in design and development. Yes, anticipating the arrival of these LH Labs products from their original announcements has been difficult for all of us. I get it, I am (im)patiently awaiting the arrival of the Source and Waves, both of which I contributed to in their first days.

Good thing I have other hobbies....

In the end it comes down to, is there any benefit to freaking out? In some situations it can be helpful... Righteous anger directed at, say, Amazon, gets you a quick response. In the LH Labs quagmire, though, it's basically banging your head against a wall. Because of the crowd funded model, you basically have no recourse. Mindfulness, deep breathing, other hobbies, these help.

I don't know what to think, the recent updates seem like something might arrive, unless they're simply buying time.

Its sad in itself we've come to wonder or think these thoughts.
