I don't care if it is the color of cow dung, if it performs as promised, and is no longer vaporware, I'm down with it!

What's brown and sounds like a bell?  Dung!

Anyway, I'm with you Doc. Also I think I'd prefer the gold over the red, although the silver might be a little more neutral.

Cheers

Also assume this back panel is where the carbon fiber or titanium elements would come in? Hope its real CF and not some type of wrap. Cheers

I actually like the progress report update since it had some nice content. The timeline is still out of the question though...so maybe late 2017 (realistically)?

I'm glad I didn't get the balanced configuration cuz that chassis looks too thick for my preferences. That, and I don't think balanced outputs is useful for me on a portable setup.

I have to say, balanced outputs on my Pono are GREAT sounding. depends on the implementation, of course, but Pono is fine single ended but goes up another level with the balanced output. Hardly listen to anything else that days.

Hoping that middle cut on the large case will mean space for a volume knob...

What is it? It's the casing for the premium Geek Wave.

How did you get to hold it? There was a function on Saturday where a couple of reps from LH sat at a table and showed stuff. Okay, one of the reps was Larry Ho.

What does it mean? It means there is something tangible that is part of the Geek Wave project out there. More a confirmation of LH's last post regarding the Geek Wave's progress.

What should I take from this post? Hope? Probably not for most of you who have been waiting a long while and still have no love lost for LH's direction for this product. However, I feel that they're starting to head in the correct direction due to the reputation of the new leadership. But most of you don't care about that. I do feel your pain as well as I've waited as well. It will take a while to dig out of the hole that they dug previously.

I didn't ask any questions about the casing or the other things on the table. Some of which were casings on a previous picture in this thread.

Edit: Cases shot from the function:

I hope it is a sign of progress... They have trotted out "prototype" cases before...

Thanks, Insidious Meme, for your post and pictures...  But I think most here would agree that it is really way past time for prototype casings, especially when many are calling for different colors and logos...  Larry needs to get a functioning prototype together (with all the parts included) to revive real hope and faith in this project and his company, then I'll agree that LH Labs is moving in the "right" direction.

Agree, but at least his last post set out a timeline for putting all the pieces together. Cheers

What new leadership are you referring to? Have they added a senior person with experience to replace GF?
