Hmmm, now I'm totally confused, but it's not really that important, things OK with the set up at present, with SB into a DAC I already have, and everything LH Labs related coming whenever it is coming...

The Vi DAC 4.2Vrms XLR output has kicked my Yamaha A-S2000 to protect mode since its XLR input was set at 2.8Vrms. Any suggeestion for a specific attenuator or else?

I ordered a Vi DAC Tube.  When I opened the box it was a Vi DAC, sans tubes.  I've still got it, and it's still wrapped in its sealed wrapping.  I raised a ticket querying what was sent, but so far no reply.  It cost a bomb to send here, and I paid a whole bunch of import duty.  One thing's for sure, listening to the Vi DAC requires a level of determination beyond most calls.  I guess I'll find out sometime, but I don't think that will be soon.  I reckon I'll now be further back in the line than you guys.

Oh man.. that sucks.  The import tax too hurts.  I hope LH Labs will do you right and reimburse the tax as well as get the Tube to you soon. In the mean time I guess you can listen to the SS?

Thanks.  It sucks, but only a little.  As I mentioned earlier, the anticipation I had for the Vi DAC has all but evaporated.  It's another indication of a company that isn't focussed on its customers.  As geeks go, they're really quite geeky, and they do engineer great products.  As business people, they've got a lot to learn.
 
I'm not going to use it.  I'll keep it in its sealed bag.  Someone else will get this unit, and it's only fair that hey get a new one.  Import tax should be no problem.  I am pretty sure that when I show the original receipt, and the return tracking from DHL, they'll waive that.  I'm interested to see how this plays out though.

Hey congrats, that looks amazingly stunning. So you've sold your unit to someone else? Did you also buy the tubes too?

I shouldn't be surprised after all the difficulties, but that's a real bummer! I had hoped that LH Labs finally had all their **** together, but apparently that is not the case. I will say that their customer service has been better recently. I opened a ticket a couple of months ago and I got a quick and helpful response. Still, many of us are waiting for a solid state Vi Dac, and they're sending them to the wrong people! Ugh. 
 
Did you eventually hear back from them about resolving the issue?
