It looks like it should be working then, but you will probably need USBAPP. Most of us here already have a USBAPP license already so we just assume everybody has it too.
While it plays some MQA files smoothly, others do not. I couldn't figure out the reason for this. There is no problem with these files. Because I tried it on V30 and it plays without any problems.
It plays the file here without any problems.
But it doesn't play the file here. Both are MQA.
I thought there might be a problem with the file and sent it to my LG V30 phone. But the V30 played the file without any problems.
I installed UAPP on V35 and it played the unplayable MQA file. But these are all MQA files. Why do some have problems?
I've got the V30, V50, and a Hidizs s9 pro plus and a Truthear Shio. I bought the V30 brand new in 2018, the V50 used in 20 both used as phones so the audio came for free (though was a primary consideration). I've just had to upgrade to a S23 Ultra hence the dongles. They are both very well reviewed and measured, but I do prefer the sound of the V50 and it has more headroom. However, just as a DAP, the Shio is all of £50 whereas a used V30 will cost more, let alone a V50.
I'm tempted to sell the V50 as it's in immaculate condition, but maybe just turn off all auto updates, fit a 1Tb sd card and put every music track in it.
Will upgrading from V35 to V60 make a significant difference in sound quality? Obviously it will cost a serious price. Will there be a quality difference worth this price difference? Should I continue with the V35? Since I will also lose MQA support after this upgrade, the difference should be really worth it.
I found some information about V35. In the standard version, the sound tuning was made by LG. The Signature Edition version was tuned by B&O. https://namu.wiki/w/LG V35 ThinQ
I found two files with different names related to the Android version of V35. Only one has an extra letter "S". Could this be the Signature Edition version?
If there is such a thing, can the B&O tuning be installed on the standard model if we install the Signature Edition software?
Also, the region name is different. It is mentioned as KOR in one and 2KR in the other.
Hi all. Just a quick question,
For my xDuoo XD05 PRO I need a dedicated Phone/Dap/Transport to stream Tidal and few other services, if its phone it should have a screen not bigger than 6.1 , should be thin and have no camera bumps, so V30 should be fine as far as I understood, but if I use it only as a streamer is it going to be limited due old android or its fine? Hiby M300 is also an option but I am not sure. Unfortunately could not find any small transport with Tidal support, xduoo itself has few nice ones, but you only get what you load on sd card and thats it

You pose a curious question, and I imagine a few others may chime in with a response. Firstly, the "beauty", or secret, to the V series phones is their total execution of the music source - DAC'd & amp'd through the headphone jack. All you need is about any up-to-date phone platform to send digits to a nice DAC, like the xDuoo. I have V20, V30, V40 & V50 - dedicated to music, and my daily driver is my V20 because it sounds best. I stream Tidal & Qobuz. Can't tell you how long the old Android platform will continue working, and I can't relate to screen dimensions, as I find a cell phone "barely adequate" for anything video. I hope this will help.
[only reason I wound up with V30 - V50 is for backup, for when something vital on my V20 craps out]

Thank you for your reply
I know all the secrets and beauty of V series, since I owned in the past V20, V30, V40 and V60 as well couple of years ago( btw V60 is a very capable phone even nowadays with its versatile camera) and from my memory I agree that V20 sounds best
As I mentioned in my original post I need something to connect / attach to my Xd05pro, I can not use my daily phone as I need it every other minute and anyway its big and has a big camera bump (oneplus12) I have old samsung note 8 but it's battery is a crap at this point, so from what I remember about the size of V30 and the way cameras are positioned it should be a perfect fit and occasionally I could use it as standalone dap, as xduo is a big brick and its almost impossible to use on daily basis outside the house, so that's why any modern smartphone wont do it for me , as it can not be used a s dap on its own. But since I never used audio over usb on V30 that's why I was curious if it works in a way it should, i found a renewed offer for about 70 usd which could be a great solution for me.
P.s. haha, I just remembered that I started my journey trough V series with v10, was a beast at that time and kind of unique in terms of design

Not sure if this suggestion is what you're looking for, but I "banded" together my V30 & V40 to a really nice, thin, powerful ChiFi HP amp. The V20 has the biggest camera "bump" of the bunch, and it - like the others - also has a raised spot where the start button is located on the back (what were they ever thinking?), which ruled out the V20, since I had to access the back to turn on & off. I solved my "bump" issue on the V30 with a 2mm-thick piece of firm packing foam, but thick rubber bands (cut-up inner tube) or cardboard would also allow cutting out holes for the "bumps" to nest in, thereby leaving a flat mating surface. "Bumps" on back are very, very shallow on the V30.
Ya, you can couple with either the already-preamp'd TRS, or you can stick a short USB adapter. I would need to use the TRS, because I need at least 24" to serve as antenna for the fabulous terrestrial FM tuner LG used to supply onboard. I only click on wi-fi when I'm already using it and can keep an eye on it: LG automatically "updated" my first V20's Nougat to Oreo for me: Oreo rendered the FM radio inop. Sorry if I'm long-winded, but these damned LGs are the best digital processing scheme I've found yet - it even serves as a head-amp to my hi-fi system.
I still use my V30 and V40 from time-to-time. Every time I return to them (especially the V30), I am always blown away with their performance - and considering I return to them from the stellar RU7, that's a huge compliment to the LGs.
Aux out to a Chi-fi HP Amp is something I do as well - especially for over the ear cans. That said triggering the high impedance mode out of the 3.5 is still a treat too .

I'd certainly be receptive to something like the RU7, but I need a bunch more watts to maintain headroom & control for my fleet of 600Ω cans & HifiMen.

The good thing about the RU7 is that it has a Line Out function which means it can also act purely as a DAC when fed to an amp - sounds fantastic. This is the way your difficult to drive headphones can still access the RU7's fantastic sound quality. Perfect solution for your Chi-fi amp perhaps?

Have to confess I sidelined the ChiFi amp when I ran across a coupa threads on the HE6se, and ran it through direct spkr out from two amps I had lying around. I don't go mobile (listening chair in my bedroom), so I settled on an Emotiva integrated amp, for which I discovered my 600Ω'ers were also long awaiting. Only thing I give up is balanced signal, but the BasX A2m sounds so right I don't mind. Did I emphasize how watt-hungry the 6se & 600Ω cans are ? The 6se's really sing on my Yammy 180W amp, tho it's not a refined as the Emotiva.
