do we have a good 3.5 mm TRS to 3.5 mm TRS jack? do not like wire. I searched and could not find one. I use 3.5 mm TTRS angled one, but phone is also tricked to detect mic and not able to take calls.
anyone using their V30 as a Qobuz or Tidal MQA player-only at home like Darko showed?
If so, what do you have hooked up to it?
And are you connecting out of the headphone jack or the usb jack?
Thanks

I use my V30 as a standalone player, as I also have the V40.
I use it with Tidal both out of the headphone jack in line out mode into an Arcam rHead amp
I also use it with an MQA Dongle connected to USB using UAPP
A strange thing with the Quad Dac. The Sony MDR-1A (<32Ω) are always triggering high impedance mode 50Ω (not aux) and sound amazing.
The Philips Fidelio X2HR, also <32Ω, cannot trigger 50Ω mode. Only aux and normal.
Has any X2/X2HR owner managed 50Ω mode on the V30? I have to turn up the volume above 65 for satisfying results.
Could some premium mini jack cable do the job? I want to avoid impedance adapters etc.
I thought that I would post a "kind of" off topic remark about high definition music files. The other day I downloaded some music files from Mark Waldrip's website to do his "music challenge". After trying to, and being unsuccessful, to listen to these files thru my home theater setup (I have no computer to use), I finally decided to just listen to the files via my LG v30 phone using my headphones (thus, why I'm posting here )
This is a test to see if people can determine which files are in high definition audio and which are normal CD type quality audio. I just thought some of you people might be interested or want to try the challenge. Otherwise, I have no connection to him (Mark Waldrip) or his website (I have purchased a few of his very expensive DVD-A and blue ray disc's, though).
For those interested, the "challenge" can be found by googling "real HD audio". You do have to sign up to receive the files.
I hope it is OK to reference this.

I have the X2, just take the cable out of your headphone and plug it in the v30 then in the X2..and you're in high impedance mode. Works for any low impedance headphone with a removable cable.

If you unplug the cable from the headphone you're in aux mode after plugging in V30.
Aux mode or high gain mode is a hugh difference.
And yes, the v30 is capable of driving the lcd-3, but not properly.
Have tried the Ether 2 in the past and the lcds ahve been an easier load for, i think.
Volume on the ether 2 did't reached the level as with the audezes.
