It's very common on audiophile smartphones.After using the V20 for a month, I love its audio capabilities. However, I am not happy with the high low impedance recognition. Either put the damn phone in high gain mode all the time or give me the choice.
Since these are mainstream items for "idiots", they make the impedance recognition automatic to increase autonomy and prevent hearing damage.
But I agree, it's a pain for audiophiles with IEMs/headphones in the 30-60ohm area, because the phones stay in low gain and you don't get the most out of your beloved IEM/headphones...
