LG V20 Sound Quality

After using the V20 for a month, I love its audio capabilities. However, I am not happy with the high low impedance recognition. Either put the damn phone in high gain mode all the time or give me the choice.
It's very common on audiophile smartphones.
Since these are mainstream items for "idiots", they make the impedance recognition automatic to increase autonomy and prevent hearing damage.
But I agree, it's a pain for audiophiles with IEMs/headphones in the 30-60ohm area, because the phones stay in low gain and you don't get the most out of your beloved IEM/headphones...

I just got this wonderful phone. Had it paired with the Lz a4 headphones. Unfortunately the isolation is really bad when taking public transportation. What headphone would offer a similar sound signature with really good isolation. I'm willing to spend :)

Am about to buy a new phone and that is

LG G6 with hi quad dac(seen like in V20)

I need a good music phone.
I just wanted to know that can we feel the difference and richness in the audio even with normal earphones like RHA s500 in LG V20 and another phone say example Oneplus 3 ?
I have been confused since 2-3 weeks which phone to buy. Am looking G6 mainly for Audio listening purpose. My files are mostly 320Kbps MP3 files.
Rha s500 is 16ohms in-earphone
Please reply

I think that you better check that again, but I'm not sure if the G-6 has indeed 4 DACs like the V20. I did a quick search as I own a V20, and I couldn't find any details regarding the audio hardware included in the G-6

The G6 has a Quad DAC like the V20, but only in some markets

Hi have purchased LG G6 from India... It's has hi fi dac like V20 . But what I see is the full volume is locked at 75% . Anything can be done to unlock it to full 100% ?

The volume steps only go up to 75. 75 is 100%

There are different gain modes that will give you more power. What kind of headphones are you using?

Just an ordinary in-earphone of Sony 9mm driver 16ohms earphone Ex-150.
Is there any way to FAKE the signals of Normal earphone as high impedance earphones by using any method ?

Yes, assuming the G6 operates the same as a the V20. You need a headphone jack extender and an impedance adapter. I detailed the method in this post:

https://www.head-fi.org/f/threads/lg-v20-sound-quality.816024/page-177#post-13538812

You probably don't need high impedance mode for those earphones though. If normal mode isn't enough you can get it into aux mode (medium gain) with only a headphone jack extender. You just connect the extender first, before you connect the earphones. You might want to try that first

Can anyone suggest some earphones having 50+ ohms which are not very expensive (or is it just my dream only that they are cheaper)

Most earphones (in-ear) are gonna be low impedance. Off the top of my head I know the Pinnacle P1's are 50ohms and well-regarded, but I've never heard them myself. Also don't know if they're in your price range
